Bohemian Arts Club, the brainchild of Blossoms' frontman Tom Ogden and partner Katie, is a gorgeously stylish bar nestled in the heart of Stockport.
They asked us to design the bar's visual identity, logos and signage, as well as promotional material and even labels for their own brand of beer.
It was paramount that the brand felt minimal and luxurious whilst still having a playful edge and with a nod to retro design. We began by creating the font from scratch with hand-drawn lettering and after a few revisions we landed on the font you see today. For the 'BAC' logo we opted for a more unorthodox layout to evoke a sense of playfulness and good times (it is a bar after all) whilst still creating a traditional feel with the serif font and monochromatic colour scheme.
The BAC logomark plays a huge part in the brand recognition of the bar, being used everywhere from their menus and business cards to drinks coasters, promotional material and even custom stamped ice cubes.
After a hugely successful few months the bar decided to create it's own Pale Ale and asked us to visualise and design the labels that would grace their bottles. As with all the branding we ensured that the bottles looked classy and minimal with a stylish edge and decided on labels with a scalloped edge and crisp, unfussy lettering.
The brand is one we are very happy with and Bohemian Arts Club continues to attract visitors from far and wide with great reviews. We look forward to working with these guys again in the not too near future.
